Who runs this site

What I collect
Only what you type into a form on this site: your name, email address, phone number, your buying timeline if you select one, and any message you write. The form also records the page you submitted from and the date and time, so I know what you were looking at when you got in touch.
The site stores your IP address alongside the submission. That is used for one purpose: rate-limiting, so that automated scripts cannot flood the form.
What I do with it
I reply to you. That is the whole purpose. Your details go into a database on this site’s own server and are emailed to me. I use them to answer your enquiry, to send you the buyer’s guide if you asked for it, and to follow up about Querencia real estate.
I do not sell your information, and I do not pass it to a lead-generation network. Enquiries from this site come to me directly. If a transaction proceeds, your details will necessarily be shared with the parties who need them — a notary, a trustee bank, an escrow agent — and I will tell you when that happens.
Tracking
The links on this site that take you to property search results carry tracking parameters, so I can see which pages send traffic to james.findmexicohouses.com. That tells me which parts of this site are useful. It records the page you came from, not who you are.
If an analytics script is installed on this site it will set cookies in your browser in the ordinary way, and you can block or delete those through your browser settings. The site does not run advertising trackers.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful for the purpose you sent them — in practice, while you might still be buying, and afterwards as a record of the transaction. Ask me to delete your details and I will.
Your rights
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email jlaker@ronival.com and I will deal with it. Mexican data protection law (the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares) gives you these rights; if you are in the EU or the UK, I will honour equivalent requests regardless.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. The database sits on the same server behind credentials that are not published. No system is perfect, and I would not describe any website as unbreakable — but the only information here is what you chose to send me.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
